I am a 56 year young widow. My passions are my Black people and music. I enjoy old school music, concerts and Black plays. I am a Black history buff and I have deep concerns for the Black community and most especially our young Black men and women. I am deeply interested in educating our youth because I believe that education is power and that education is the beginning of understanding. I think it is the job of the Black community to assist our youth in staying on track and encouraging them to pursue educational endeavors, because this will enable them to compete with the different cultures and nationalities on a global scale. We must take advantage of our ability to educate our youth in that education will guide them in confronting the obstacles which they will be encountering within and outside of our race. Our struggle continues and our future lies with a prepared, educated, motivated people who will shape the Black community of tomorrow.
